Dubuque hosting free 'art crawl' gallery tour this weekend

Posted: Updated:

Dubuque's annual Fall into Art is a free gallery tour, and this year it's expanding into a two-day event.

Dubuque Main Street is hosting the 'art crawl' this weekend, from 5 p.m. to 10 pm. on Fri., Oct, 3 and noon to 4 p.m. on Sat., Oct. 4.

This year, 13 downtown art exhibits will be featured on the tour. A combination of gallery owners, curators, educators, students and working artists will welcome visitors into the spaces, as those on the crawl check out art ranging from paintings, pottery and photography to mixed media art, installation art and graphic designs.

People on the art crawl may visit the 13 art locations in any order by walking, bicycling, riding or driving. On Friday only, a free shuttle will loop around all 13 galleries, with a stop at each location approximately once every 15 minutes.
