CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

UNI kicker Michael Schmadeke put up a record performance on Saturday, and the Missouri Valley notice. Schmadeke was named the conference Special Teams Player of the Week following a perfect performance in the win over Tennessee Tech.

Schmadeke went a perfect 5 for 5 on field goal attempts and 5 for 5 on extra points. The 5 field goals tied all-time UNI mark, while his 20 points overall were the most ever scored by a Panther kicker in a single game.

The conference honor is the first in the junior's career. He currently leads all UNI players this season with 51 points hitting all 27 of his kicks thus far (12-12 FG's, 15-15 XP's).
