URBANA (KWWL) - A great match-up tonight in 2A, as seventh-ranked Center Point-Urbana puts its unbeaten record on the line against eighth-ranked New Hampton.

In the first quarter, New Hampton with the ball and a 3rd-and-1 on the CPU 8, Connor Frerichs goes up the gut, gets slowed down at the four, but keeps his legs churning and gets some help from his line to bull his way in for the Chickasaws touchdown.

Extra point is good and New Hampton is up 7-0.

Still in the first, Center Point-Urbana with the ball on a fourth-and-4 from the New Hampton 36. #36 Brandon Kinsey has nowhere to go as Noah Hopp and Connor Frerichs lead a host of Chickasaw tacklers to get the ball back and stuff the drive.

Onto the 2nd quarter, this time it's Center Point-Urbana's turn to come up with the big defensive play as on a first and goal on the 10, Connor Frerichs gets hit hard by Wyatt Sadler, causing the fumble, and Alec Burke recovered it.

Later on in the 2nd quarter, New Hampton with the ball again on a first-and-10 from their own 32. Alex Troyna looks fired deep and finds Tucker Tenge open and he speeds down the right sideline for the 68 yard td pass to put the Chickasaws up 13-0 after the extra point was blocked.

New Hampton goes on to win the contest 20-7.
