SCOTT COUNTY (KWWL) -

Volunteers are making calls in an attempt to persuade voters, but if you don't want the calls, there's one easy way to avoid them: vote early.

“One thing they don't realize, which we try to tell them, is that if they vote early, what should happen is their names should get taken off the roll-call list,” said Judy Davidson, Scott Co. Republican Party Chair.

Davidson tells KWQC, political organizations or candidates get lists of absentee voters from their county auditors' office. Those names and numbers are then taken off their call lists which saves candidates time and resources.
