County assessor resigns after a gunman's attempt to kill her

The Jackson County assessor, who had a gun pointed at her earlier this month, resigned Friday.

Jackson County Assessor Deb Lane dodged a bullet on September 9th when Francis Glaser pulled out a gun at a county supervisors meeting. Glaser missed Lane, and then died from his own bullet.

Friday Lane handed in her resignation after 21 years of service. She will step down January 2nd.
