IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

An Iowa City woman is in custody after police say she pulled a knife on her husband after finding him with another woman.

Iowa City Police were called to 2238 Taylor St. at just after 10 p.m. on Sunday on a report of domestic abuse.

Jennifer Michelle Williams, 34, of Iowa City was arrested and charged with domestic abuse/assault and display or use of weapon.

Police said it started when Williams got home and found another woman with her husband.

Williams then tried to get to the other woman, and her husband stopped Williams from making physical contact with the woman, according to police.

Williams' husband told police that Williams made the statement, "I have something for you," and proceeded to grab a butcher knife from the kitchen.

At that point, the other woman fled the scene, and Williams then came after her husband with the knife.

Williams was stopped by her husband's daughter, who positioned herself between the two.

The police reported that the knife was put away in the chopping block by the time they arrived on the scene.
