Fourth-ranked AGWSR has been impressive this season, winning its first three games by an average margin of 19 points. Wapsie Valley, on the other hand, has only one loss this season to the third-ranked 1A South Winneshiek.
It was homecoming for AGWSR, and Cougar Country was rocking.
AGWSR came out strong, with quarterback Cody Williams picking up big yards with a keep.
A couple of plays later he shared the love, hitting Josh June with a big pass just short of the end zone. They kept that drive moving, with Levi Stockdale basically walking it in to bring AGWSR up 7-0.
They kept the pressure on for the rest of the first half, with several big carries by the Cougars' Levi Stockdale. After a long drive, AGWSR's Clay Meinders ran it in, making it 14-0.
Warrior fans were looking for something, anything. Their Jared Bodensteiner put up a few big passes, but nothing doing.
Late in the second quarter, Stockdale had another big carry into the end zone, lengthening AGWSR's commanding lead.
They kept that going, as AGWSR had a happy homecoming, whooping the Warriors 41-12.
