UNI prepares for Northern Colorado

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) - After two games on the road including a trip to Hawaii, the University of Northern Iowa Panthers are in desperate need of a victory after Saturday night's 27-24 loss to Hawaii.

UNI head coach Mark Farley said too many errors at Iowa and now Hawaii kept the Panthers out of the win column.

While some believe the FCS Panthers can take some solace in playing a couple of bigger FBS programs to the wire, Farley says there are no moral victories.

"No, I am as upset as if I would have gotten beat by anybody else," Farley said. "It doesn't matter. At the nine-minute mark of both of these games we have the football at midfield with a chance to go ahead, and then it changes the dynamics of the game and then we don't make those plays. So we position ourselves right where we want to be and now we have to make those plays to put them away at the end."

UNI hosts Northern Colorado on Saturday at 4 p.m.
