FARLEY (KWWL) -

According to the Farley Speedway Facebook page, the track's Race 'Em or Wreck 'Em event will continue as scheduled Sunday.

It will be in honor of John "JP" Pickart, who was killed in a Race  'Em or Wreck 'Em crash Saturday at Hawkeye Downs in Cedar Rapids.

The show starts at 1 p.m.

According to employees with B and B Promotions, who organizes the events, they've been holding Race 'Em or Wreck 'Em events for six or seven years. Until Saturday, they'd never seen an injury more serious than a cut or bruise.

Pickart was killed while driving a motor home during the school bus race at Hawkeye Downs Saturday night.

The motor home was hit by a bus, flipped over, and parts of it seemed to collapse. The crash caused injuries so severe that Pickart was pronounced dead at the track.
