Posted: Updated:

Police have taken a teenager into custody after a shooting Saturday that injured a Waterloo man.

Terrance James Howse, 17, of Waterloo was taken into custody and charged with intimidation with a weapon, willful injury causing serious injury, going armed with intent and carrying weapons, according to Waterloo Police Lt. Michael McNamee.

He is currently being held at the Black Hawk County Jail on a bond of $500,000.

Police say Howse shot at and injured Dominique Maurice Cross, 25, also of Waterloo. The shooting was apparently in retaliation for a previous fight between Cross and a friend of Howse's, according to police.

The shooting took place at 821 West 2nd St. in Waterloo on Saturday afternoon.

Cross is expected to survive his injuries.

Waterloo Police are looking for a suspect in a shooting at an apartment building Saturday afternoon.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. at an apartment in the 800 block of West 2nd Street.

Police say the victim showed up at a hospital with a bullet wound.  He's expected to survive his injuries.

Police have not released a description of any possible suspects.
