Soup cook-off in Waverly benefits domestic violence awareness

Cedar Valley Friends of the Family (CVFF) will host its 2nd-annual Domestic Violence Awareness Soup Cook-off on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event, which will happen during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, will take place at St. Mary's Church in Waverly.

Prizes will be awarded for best broth-based and best cream-based soups, as well as best chili.

The cost for the all-you-can-eat soup dinner is $5 per adult and free for kids younger than 12 years old.
