IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

Iowa scored a pair of touchdowns in the final 3 minutes to rally past Ball State for a 17-13 win.

Several fans had already left Kinnick Stadium without seeing Jake Duzey haul in the game winning 12 yard touchdown pass from Jake Rudock with one minute remaining.

Iowa appeared to be headed for a devastating loss. Ball State scored the game's only touchdown of the first 3 quarters as Blake Dueitt returned a Jonathan Parker fumble for a score in the first half. The Cardinals led the Hawkeyes 13-3 with under 4 minutes to go. Much of the blame for the deficit could be put on the Iowa special teams as kickers Marshall Koehn and Mick Ellis combined to hit just 1 of 4 field goals.

The tide turned late as Rudock hit Derrick Willies on a 12 yard strike with 2:58 remaining. After a quick defensive stop, Iowa drive back down the field setting up the game winning toss from Rudock to Duzey.
