Hawkeye defensive lineman Louis Trinca-Pasat has been honored by the College Football Performance Awards for his performance against the University of Northern Iowa Panthers on Saturday.
Trinca-Pasat, a senior from Chicago, racked up 10 tackles, including three for loss, one-and-a-half sacks and a pass break-up in Iowa's 31-23 win over the Panthers on Saturday in Kinnick Stadium to earn him honorable mention recognition in the voting for Defensive Lineman Performer of the Week.
The 6-foot-3, 290-pound Trinca-Pasat has started 26 straight games for the Hawkeyes. He was one of three FBS defensive linemen to record 10-plus tackles and 3-plus tackles for loss during the opening weekend.
Trinca-Pasat and the rest of the Iowa Hawkeyes look to go 2-0 when they host Ball State at Kinnick Stadium on Saturday. Kick-off is scheduled for 2:35 p.m.
