NEW: Tactical team responds to New Hampton shots fired call

NEW HAMPTON (KWWL) -

The Iowa State Patrol Tactical Team was called in for a shots fired incident in New Hampton.

It happened at a home on Sunday morning around 4:45 a.m., according to New Hampton Police Chief Mike Anderson. Everyone inside the home was removed safely by police. The suspect remained inside. After the tactical team arrived, the subject was removed from the home around 7 a.m.

One apparent witness that spoke to KWWL said he saw officers carrying rifles on the scene.

No one was injured.

Police are not releasing the names or addresses of individual involved, citing an ongoing investigation.
