DUNKERTON (KWWL) -
Two people were taken to the hospital on Saturday after a one-car rollover crash near Dunkerton.
The Black Hawk County Sheriff's office was called to the 8500 block of E. Cedar Wapsi Road just after 3:30 Saturday afternoon for a single vehicle accident. Sheriff Deputies found a silver Chevrolet Trailblazer lying in the north ditch.
An investigation revealed the car was driven by Bree Zubrod, 14, of Waterloo. She was driving eastbound on Cedar Wapsi when the front passenger tire dropped off the roadway onto the gravel shoulder.
Zubrod lost control of the car as she attempted to bring the vehicle back onto the roadway. The vehicle veered across the roadway and entered the north ditch rolling at least twice.
Zubrod was transported by Dunkerton Ambulance to Allen Hospital. Her passenger, Bret Zubrod, 43, was taken by family to Allen Hospital. Both are expected to survive, but their conditions have not been released.
Leslie Hospitality owner Edwin Leslie says he doesn't have anything to hide, and to prove it he invited the public to view all of the documents, emails, agreements, and financial statements related to the deal at a public meeting this morning.
