Posted: Updated:

Both Crestwood and New Hampton made the playoffs in 2013.

It was a stellar season for the Class 2A New Hampton Chickasaws, which finished last year with an 11-1 record and beat the 3A Crestwood Cadets 28-7 in the second game of the season. Tonight, it was repeat performance.

The Chickasaws at home tonight, in their season opener, and Crestwood looked like they came to play early.

Early in the first quarter, Crestwood #2 QB Tristan Bohr picks up the interception right at the New Hampton goal line. The Cadets couldn't put a drive together though -- they sputter, and punt.

#33 senior Tucker Tenge caught it, broke the tackle, and ran it back, bring New Hampton up 7-0. New Hampton kept the momentum rolling into the second quarter.

A series of great throws by QB Alex Troyna brought them back into striking distance, and Anthony Sweitzer carried it in, bring NH up 14-0.

Crestwood fans were looking for a comeback, but the Chickasaws stayed strong. Troyna hit Tenge with a series of passes ending in a touchdown completion. 21-0 New Hampton.

The Chickasaws attempted a on-side kick, but Cadets recovered. Trying to bring it together, they threw a fake punt pass, but New Hampton knocked it down.

Story of the night, New Hampton rolled Crestwood 42-0.
