Family rescued from Coralville apartment fire

CORALVILLE (KWWL) -

One family was rescued and two people hospitalized after a fire in Coralville Friday morning.

Fire crews were called to 725 20th Avenue at around 1 a.m. Friday morning for a report of an apartment fire.

When they arrived, firefighters found fire in a lower level apartment. One family was rescued from a third floor apartment and two people were taken to a local hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. In all, eight families are out of their home and being helped by the American Red Cross.

The investigation into the cause of the fire continues.
