CEO Jean Trainor to leave Veridian Credit Union

WATERLOO (KWWL) - Veridian Credit Union's CEO/Chief Inclusion Officer Jean Trainor has announced plans to step down from the financial world to work with her son Nate. 

Nate, who is nonverbal and types to communicate, has a career goal of teaching others to type. Trainor wants to play a role in working alongside Nate to make that a reality starting in 2015.

“I took the job at the credit union because of the people and it is the people I will miss most,” Trainor said in a written statement. Trainor says she plans to stay in the Cedar Valley.

“I am very grateful for the opportunity to work for the credit union and very proud of our accomplishments. I'm leaving the credit union in the hands of a very strong team. Veridian is strong financially and well positioned for the future,” Trainor added.

Trainor has been with the credit union for 32 years, 25 of those as the credit union's CEO and Chief Inclusion Officer.
