City of Oelwein to hold Thursday meeting about next mayor

OELWEIN (KWWL) - The Oelwein City Council will hold a special meeting on Thursday at 6 p.m. to discuss options for appointing a new mayor or the possibility of a special election.

Monday night the Oelwein City Council accepted the resignation of Mayor Jason Manus, who was recently charged with five counts of sexual abuse.

Manus is accused of sexually abusing two young girls in July 2010 before he was mayor.
