    About 460 John Deere employees in Waterloo have been told they'll be without a job indefinitely come October 20th.Most of the cutbacks will happen in two facilities -- the Tractor Cab Assembly Operations and Drivetrain Operations.Matt Bauler didn't get a layoff notification, but he's worked at John Deere's downtown facility for about 10 years."It pays well. The benefits are good for jobs around here in the Cedar Valley for anybody that doesn't have a college education or degree," he said.Baul...More >>

MOLINE, Ill. (KWWL) -

On Friday, August 22, Deere and Company announced the second round of layoffs at Moline's Seeding and Cylinder in two weeks.

Approximately 190 employees will be temporarily laid off starting September 1 and have a callback date.

This round is separate from the announcement made on Friday, August 15 when 600 employees were laid off indefinitely at four different plants- including Seeding and Cylinder.
