Slight risk of severe storms Thursday in northeast Iowa

Posted: Updated:

A warm front will be the main force behind the slight chance of severe storms today.

Most of the activity will be in our northern counties, with the main threats being wind and hail.

Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s.

The threat for storms will last into the evening hours. They will be scattered among the partly cloudy skies, with lows hovering around 70.

This tropical air will last throughout the week, giving us a chance for pop-up showers and thunderstorms and keeping temps warm.

We could see 90s by the weekend.
