Marion Police looking for same suspect in 2 overnight robberies

Marion Police are looking for a man wanted in an early morning robbery and attempted robbery. The first happened just before 2:30 a.m. Sunday at the Road Ranger on 8th Ave. They say a man came in and demanded money. They say he ran out of the store without any money. They say about 10 minutes later, police were called to a robbery at the Kum and Go on Blairs Ferry Rd. They say the man took money and cigarettes, then ran out of the store. Police say no weapon was shown in either incident, but clerks said the suspect told them he had a gun. The suspect is described as a slender black male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and white shoes.
