Workplace learning conference coming to Cedar Rapids in October

This fall, the Hawkeye Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development will be hosting a regional professional development conference in Cedar Rapids.

This year's conference: “Creating a World That Works Better, One Professional at a Time” will be held at Mount Mercy University's Graduate Center in Cedar Rapids.

The event is targeted toward senior leaders, mid-level and front-line managers, individual contributors and professionals for non-profit, for-profit, and government organizations.

The conference is set to showcase a diverse group of functional areas such as Human Resources, Organizational Development, Operations, Information Technology, Engineering, Project and Program Management, Facilities, Marketing and Sales.

This year's speakers include Lou Russell, author of 10 Steps to Successful Project Management and Lynette Patterson, author of Releasing Anxiety and Bill Treasurer, Giant Leap Consulting, author of Courage Goes to Work and Leaders Open Doors.
