2 injured after shooting Friday in Dubuque

DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

Dubuque Police are investigating a report of shots fired Friday morning in Dubuque.

Police said they responded to a call shortly after 1:30 a.m. to Mercy Hospital on the report of two subjects seeking treatment for gunshot wounds.

Ryan McMahon and Cody Richey, both of Dubuque, had been transported by private vehicle to Mercy Hospital. Their wounds were not life-threatening, according to police.

Police said the shooting allegedly took place in the area of 20th and Elm Streets, and involved at least one suspect who is known to both McMahon and Richey.

The investigation is ongoing.
