WATERLOO (KWWL) - A fundraiser will be held on Saturday for a three-year-old who died after falling from a window at his home.

Carter McOmber died after he accidentally fell from a window in his family's Cedar Falls home in July.

Family and friends have organized a fundraiser at the UAW Hall in Waterloo which is located at 2615 Washington Street.

The fundraiser, called "Super Heroes Unite for Carter," will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday.

It's sponsored by Olive Garden, and proceeds from the fundraiser, carnival games, silent auction and 50/50 raffle will go toward medical and funeral expenses for the family.

Donations can also be made to the "Carter McOmber Benefit" at Veridian Credit Union.

More information on Saturday's fundraiser can be found here: http://ctruedesigns.wix.com/carter

It's the question that is being asked all across the country tonight - including right here in Iowa. When it comes to disciplining our children, how far is too far? Cuts and bruises to his back, buttocks, ankles, legs, scrotum - and defensive wounds to his hand. His father, Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, admits he gave...More >>
