LANCASTER, Wis. (KWWL) -

The Grant County Sheriff's Office says a helicopter pilot survived a crash near Lancaster Wednesday morning.

The Grant County sheriff tells KWWL that Dale Eilo was operating a helicopter while spraying a soybean field for Crapp Farms LLC when one of the blades caught a power line. The sheriff says the helicopter landed on its skids, but then flipped over. Eilo refused treatment at the scene.

The sheriff says Eilo flies for Back 9 Aerial and was subcontracted by Premiere Cooperative in Mt. Horeb.

Several homes lost power as a result of the crash.
