CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) - A man charged with killing a Cedar Rapids basketball standout two years ago was found guilty Friday.

Tajh Malik Ross, who was 18 at the time of the shooting, was found guilty of first-degree murder, intimidation with a dangerous weapon and going armed with intent in the 2012 death of Latasha Roundtree.

Ross was found not guilty of conspiracy to commit a forcible felony. His trial was a bench trial, not a jury trial.

Roundtree was 19 when she was shot to death Sept. 22, 2012. Cedar Rapids Police say Ross shot Roundtree while she was in a car on the way to a party.

Sentencing for Ross will be Oct. 3 at 1:30 p.m.
