National Partnership Between United Way and Wal-Mart

DUBUQUE (KWWL) - United Way of Dubuque Area Tri-States has announced a national partnership between United Way and Wal-Mart called “Fill-The-Bus,” scheduled on Aug. 8.

This national program is planned for Aug. 8, 9 and 10 from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. at the Wal-Mart Dubuque store located at 4200 Dodge Street. 

The “Fill-The-Bus” program promotes customers buying school supplies for children in the tri-state area. Supplies will be donated to the Apples for Students Program through St. Mark Youth & Enrichment.

The three building blocks of United Way are education, income and health. United Way of Dubuque Area Tri-States focuses on giving, advocating and volunteering and believes in community collaboration to advance the common good.
