CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) - The Kennedy High School Class of 2015 will spend this upcoming school year building a Habitat for Humanity house.

The students are trying to raise $16,000 for the project, and will hold a garage sale as part of their efforts.

Students are collecting items for the garage sale Sunday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and Monday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Kennedy High School.

Anyone wanting to drop off gently-used items can drive to the end of the south parking lot, off 42nd Street NE. A student will meet drivers to collect donations.

The garage sale will be held Friday, Aug. 8 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 9 from 8 a.m. to Noon in the West gymnasium of the high school.
