Iowa protesters arrested in Washington

WASHINGTON, D.C. (KWWL) -

Several Iowans were arrested during a political protest in Washington. WHO-TV spoke with the group before leaving and says they were planning to get arrested.

WHO reporter Jodi Whitworth says six of the 12 protesters with the Las Americas United Methodist Church were arrested Thursday in the nation's capital. 

The Iowans were rallying against deportation with about 90 other protesters.The protesters refused to move after several warnings from park police.
