ISU Extension webinar to address Emerald Ash Borer impact

Posted: Updated:

Iowa State University Extension offices throughout the state will simultaneously host a webinar on Aug. 14 exploring the impact of the Emerald Ash Borer.

It's part of ISU Extension's Totally Trees summer webinar series.

ISU Extension entomologists Donald Lewis and Mark Shour will talk about the Emerald Ash Borer and other pests hurting Iowa's trees and the damage they may cause to the state's landscape.

The webinar is $5 to the general public and free for active ISU Extension master gardeners.

It is from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 14, hosted by local ISU Extension offices. People interested in attending should contact their local ISU Extension office to register or learn more.

In Dubuque County, the office is located at 14858 West Ridge Lane. People can call that office at 563.583.6496 for more information.

Following the Emerald Ash Borer webinar, the next webinar is called Replacing Ash Trees: Good Alternatives for Iowa and will be held on Thursday, Sept. 4.

The ISU Extension summer webinar series is in its fifth year.
