DUBUQUE (KWWL) - The University of Dubuque's Heritage Center will host an open house Mon., Aug. 4, where people can buy tickets for the center's upcoming performing arts season.

The Heritage Center opened last year as Dubuque's newest performing arts venue.

From 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 4, people are welcome to attend the free open house, where there will be complimentary refreshments, live entertainment, tours of the building, door prizes and an opportunity to buy tickets for the upcoming 2014-15 season.

The Heritage Center announced in April its 2014-15 entertainment lineup. That's HERE: http://www.kwwl.com/story/25276978/2014/04/17/university-of-dubuque-unveils-performing-art-series-2014-15

Guests at the open house will have the chance to win free tickets to events, including a grand prize of a subscription series ticket package, valued at $239. That entails a pair of tickets to 11 Live at Heritage Center performances, including An Afternoon with Garrison Keillor, a Paul McCartney tribute show, the Great Gatsby, Dallas Brass, Curious George and Forbidden Broadway.

People at the open house will be able to purchase event tickets at the box office. Single ticket online sales begin Wed., Aug. 6. Phone and in-person ticket sales begin Mon., Aug. 18.
