The mother of one of two girls abducted from an Evansdale lake has pleaded guilty to drug charges.

Misty Morrissey pleaded guilty to two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, in Fayette County on Wednesday.

Following her plea, Morrissey was sentenced to up to 10 years in prison. She must serve one third of that sentence before she is eligible for parole.

Morrissey was arrested in November after a lengthy investigation.

Morrissey is the mother of Lyric Cook-Morrissey. Lyric, along with her cousin Elizabeth Collins, were abducted from Meyers Lake on July 13, 2012. Their bodies were found at Seven Bridges Park in Bremer County five months later.
