WATERLOO (KWWL) - This author is sure to get you in touch with your Irish roots.

On Monday, Aug. 4, at 7 p.m., author David McDonnell will share his knowledge of Irish history and genealogy, including what inspired him to write "ClanDonnell" and what may help you fill in the blanks with your own quest.

"ClanDonnell: A Storied History of Ireland" is a tale of Ireland’s history, told through the lives of the Celtic Irish McDonnell clan and their descendants. The clan story is told in crisp, witty style, and McDonnell tells it in his Irish storytelling skills.

This event will be held in the Aigler Auditorium in Dubuque. This event is free and open to the public.
