CENTER POINT (KWWL) -

It was a defensive struggle in 3A between Center Point-Urbana and Greene County.

The Pointers trailed 1-0 in the sixth and Greene County adds to its lead when Kayla Mobley hit an RBI single to make it 2-0 going into the seventh.

CPU tried to rally in the last frame. Maddie Karr had a deep shot to center – she just missed the homer – leading off with a double.

But CPU wouldn't get a run home – Megan Croghan popped out to end it.

Center Point-Urbana fell 2–0.
