CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

Dozens of remote-control airplanes flew over part of Cedar Rapids.

The Cedar Rapids Skyhawks held its annual air show with remote controlled planes.

About 30 remote-controlled biplanes, jets, fighters, and bombers, took to the air.

The event raises money for the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight and draws people from surrounding states.

"Even though we're having a lot of fun with our big toys, we got a tie in with the Honor Flight that we really enjoy and think it's a really good fit for us," said Todd Davis a pilot.

Donations will help fly veterans to Washington as part of the Honor Flight.
