CEDAR COUNTY (KWWL) -

Eighteen different law enforcement agencies joined the search for a suspicious man in Cedar County Thursday.

A complaint was first called into the Cedar County Sheriff's Office around 2:30 a.m. Thursday, about a man knocking at the door of a home in the are of Jackson Avenue and Jackson Road.  During an investigation, a deputy found a car sitting in the Red Oak public hunting area.  After a short chase, the driver of the vehicle got out of the car and ran away.

Authorities say they identified the driver as 32-year-old Daniel Beeding of Wapello, who was later spotted in Tipton around 11:30 a.m.  The sheriff's office received complaints of someone matching his description as acting strange and asking to use a cell phone.
Authorities say after being spotted in Tipton, Beeding was able to get away, but later seen running into a cornfield.

Beeding was arrested in the area of 990 Cedar Valley Road, about two miles west of where he was last seen on Logan Avenue.
