Crews near debris-removal completion

Posted: Updated:

Crews in Cedar Rapids have removed more than 300 tons of tree debris from the Southeast side of town, which was significantly impacted by recent storms. Crews from other quadrants of the city are being reassigned to help speed the process.

The anticipated completion date for city-wide cleanup is Friday, July 25.

740 tons of tree debris have been removed city-wide. Another 400 tons will likely be removed before completion.

Residents with relatively minor debris issues are encouraged to use their "YARDY" carts for disposal.

To report a dangerous situation, call 319-286-5802.
