Tornado survivors find video of tornado in rubble

Posted: Updated:
PILGER, Neb. -

Several tornado survivors saw just how lucky they were this week after finding surveillance video in the storm damage.

Security video on a Pilger, Neb. co-op captured a view the EF4 tornado as it ripped apart the store.

"It wasn't even real until we were sitting down in that in pretty much the fetal position," The Farmers Co-Op President Aaron Becker said.

Becker and his co-workers were just on the other side of an eight-inch thick concrete wall.

They had no idea that outside wind gusted at 200 miles per hour, ripping the town to pieces and snapping electric lights off the street. The video shows some of the electric lines sparking as they hit the ground, just feet away from leaking propane tanks.
