CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

A community resource fair will be held Wednesday in Cedar Rapids to help connect people to support agencies who have been impacted by flash flooding.

Residents affected from the June 29 to June 30 flooding can attend the fair from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Beems Auditorium B at the Cedar Rapids Public Library.

The fair is free and open to the public.

A variety of local agencies and support groups will be at the fair to aid the recovery process following severe weather; some include the United Way 2-1-1, the American Red Cross, Iowa Legal Aid and Metro Catholic Outreach.

City officials will also be present to help answer questions; representatives from Building Services, Solid Waste and Recycling and Public Works departments will be at the resource fair.

Alliant Energy and MidAmerican Energy representatives will also be available to answer questions regarding utility reconnections and energy efficiency.
