MASON CITY, Iowa (AP) - A man accused of killing a 20-month-old Mason City boy in 1994 has been found not guilty.

The Cerro Gordo County jury took less than three hours to return the verdict Monday on 38-year-old Michael Cisneros. Cisneros was charged with first-degree murder in the slaying of John Snyder Jr. The Mason City toddler went missing on July 20, 1994. His body was found the next day in a creek.

Cisneros was arrested in July 2013. Investigators said DNA analysis linked him to the killing.
