Authorities: Dexter James-Lloyd Noear, 25, escaped a work release facility. If you see him, call police.
SIOUX CITY (KWWL) -
Authorities at the Iowa Department of Corrections need help tracking down Dexter James-Lloyd No Ear, a 25-year-old man who they say escaped a work release program on Saturday.
Work release is a program designed to allow offenders the opportunity to gradually adjust to the transition between prison and the community.
According to a press release, No Ear was serving a 30-sentence for assaulting a peace officer, multiple counts of inference with a correctional officer and a theft charge.
Assistant Director of the Iowa Department of Corrections Fred Scaletta said No Ear was transferred to a work release facility in Sioux City in June after being granted a work release by the Iowa Board of Parole.
No Ear is described as being 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing 164 pounds.
