DENVER (KWWL) -

Denver sophomore Jayden Wolter went the distance on the mound as the Cyclones shut out MFL-MarMac 4-0 in a class 2A regional softball semifinal.

Bailey Victoria opened the scoring for Denver. With a scoreless tie in the 3rd, Victoria smashed a solo home run over the left field wall. The Cyclones added to that lead in the 4th after the Bulldogs' Jillian Haberichter uncorked a wild pitch allowing Allison Distler to score.

Courtney Ott would put it away for good in the 6th. Ott hit an opposite field shot over the left fielder scoring 2 runs on a long single.

The Cyclones advance to face North Butler in the regional final with a berth in the state tournament on the line.
