HUDSON, Iowa (AP) - A northeast Iowa man faces a firearms charge in connection to a May shooting that injured one person.

The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office says 20-year-old Joshua Scott Casey, of Hudson, was placed into custody Wednesday. He faces a charge of reckless use of a firearm causing injury.

Casey is accused of shooting a shotgun at the person while the pair and two others were at a residence southeast of Hudson at the end of May. The injured person was taken to a hospital after being hit in the right shoulder. The wound was not life-threatening.

Deputies and local police were told the four people had been hunting earlier in the day.

Casey was sent to the Black Hawk County Jail. Court records do not list an attorney.
