Military bride gets free wedding dress from Dubuque boutique

DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

Dawn Butler, a senior elementary education major at the University of Dubuque and a long-time member of the Iowa National Guard, will participate in Brides Across America’s “Operation Wedding Gown” program.

The program will be held at Zazou’s Bridal Boutique this Sunday.

The program partners with local bridal boutiques to provide free wedding gowns to certain military brides as a way to honor military veterans.

According to a press release from the University of Dubuque, Butler is a staff sergeant and equal opportunity advisor for the 133rd Infantry.
