Iowa non-profit Trees Forever places ad in Times Square

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK CITY (KWWL) -

Trees Forever, an Iowa non-profit organization helping to raise awareness on the importance of conserving and planting trees that support pollinators such as birds, bees and butterflies, has been selected to place an advertising spot in Times Square for the months of July, August and September.

The 10-second spot, which began running on July 3 and will run 18 times per day, encourages people to learn more about trees and pollinators by visiting the Trees Forever website.

Neutron Group, a New York City media firm, chose Trees Forever from a list of non-profits to receive an in-kind donation for the advertising.

Donations made as a result of the campaign will support the planting of trees in national forests and storm-damaged communities.
