Three Hawkeyes named ITA scholar athletes for tennis

Three University of Iowa men’s tennis athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes Thursday

The three athletes are Michael Swank, Chase Tomlins, and Andres Estenssoro.

To receive the honor of an ITA Scholar-Athlete, they must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and be a varsity letter winner.

Estenssoro is a industrial engineering major and will be a senior next season, posted a 7-6 singles record last season.

Swank graduated this spring with degree in finance. He was named the team’s Big Ten Sportsmanship honoree, he won 13 singles and 12 doubles latches last season.

Tomlins is a finance major who has graduated, recorded eight doubles victories and three singles wins as a senior.
