Wiggly Field, the Cedar Valley's only downtown, off-leash dog park is set to open Wednesday afternoon in Waterloo.
A ribbon cutting will take place with the Greater Cedar Valley Alliance Ambassadors at 4:30 p.m.
The grand opening event will include the ribbon cutting, appetizers, complimentary beverages and special dog treats. Cedar Bend Humane Society will also be onsite with their new mobile adoption vehicle.
Wiggly Field is located in the 500 block of Sycamore St. in downtown Waterloo, and part of the privately-owned park across from E. Fourth St.
Wiggly Field is open to residential tenants of JSA Development and others who purchase an annual membership. Beginning Wednesday, July 9, dog owners who are not JSA tenants may purchase access to Wiggly Field for $60 per year.
Those interested can buy the yearly memberships to Wiggly Field at Newton's Paradise Cafe, in downtown Waterloo.
