Mom: I hope he rots in jail

Posted: Updated:
16-year-old Destiny Drenner is safe tonight, five days after being reported missing from Oelwein.
Police say she was found Tuesday night in the 100 block of First Avenue Northeast.

Officers say she was with 34-year-old Joseph Graves. He is now in police custody facing charges for harboring a minor.

KWWL's Amanda Goodman talked with Destiny's mom, Jennifer Albrecht, on the phone on Tuesday night.
Destiny's mother said it appeared Destiny ran away. Destiny grabbed a backpack she had hidden on the back porch and took off on July 3rd.
Jennifer said Graves was actually a friend of hers. She said Destiny felt comfortable talking with him.

But after a few months of interaction, Jennifer said her daughter started acting differently...she said Destiny told her she didn't want to live with her mom anymore...basically, didn't want anything to do with her mom.

Amanda asked Jennifer, "In your heart of hearts as a mom, do you feel like he was putting things in her head?"
"Yes. She's very susceptible to that with people. I trusted him. He was here most of the time. They would go out onto my back porch or front porch and talk." said Jennifer Albrecht. "What are your feelings about him now I hope he rots in jail." said Jennifer Albrecht.
Graves is in jail tonight. Jennifer and her daughter have not yet been reunited because Destiny is still being questioned by police.

When they are reunited, Jennifer said she w
ants to hug her daughter and tell her she missed her and loves her.
