WATERLOO (KWWL) - A Waterloo man has won a $10,000 lottery prize.

According to a press release from the Iowa Lottery, Mirsad Mahmutovic claimed the first of 32 prizes of $10,000 available in the Iowa Lottery’s new instant-scratch game.

Mahmutovic claimed his prize Monday at the lottery’s regional office in Cedar Rapids after purchasing the ticket at Kwik Star on West 4th Street in Waterloo.

The new $250,000 Club scratch game is a $20 ticket.

According to lottery officials, the overall odds of winning a prize in the game are 1 in 2.88.
